About the event
The Kansas City Wide Open, whose 2026 edition was the 44th, is played at Bad Rock Creek in Liberty, Missouri. The Gold layout mixes open fairways and wooded corridors, with four demanding back-nine holes that can swing the leaderboard. After two years as a regular Elite Series event, it becomes a DGPT Playoffs stop in 2027 and moves from April to October.
2026 recap
Cole Redalen won MPO at 23 under, two ahead of Ricky Wysocki and Calvin Heimburg, after opening with an 11-under round and leading from round two on. Storms cut the final round to nine holes. In FPO, Henna Blomroos led by five entering the final round, but Eveliina Salonen came from eight back with a 9-under 60 and won a one-hole playoff, the largest comeback win in Tour history.
