About the event
The PDGA Champions Cup is the first PDGA Pro Major of the season, held in Lynchburg and Bedford County, Virginia. Its 2026 edition, the fifth, was four rounds on the wooded New London Tech course. In 2027 it runs April 15 to 18, about a week later than in 2026.
2026 recap
Finland won both divisions, each by one shot. Niklas Anttila opened with a 9-under 60, was tied with Anthony Barela after three rounds, and closed with a 61 to win at 27 under over Gannon Buhr, who shot 59 on the final day, with Barela third at 25 under. Anttila became the first Finnish man to win an MPO Major. Silva Saarinen started the final round four back of Henna Blomroos, shot a course-record 8-under 61, and won at 17 under when Blomroos missed the birdie she needed on 18 to force a playoff.
